“Katya made us feel like we were exploring with the coolest local in San Francisco — she knew every shortcut, every hidden view, and when to outrun the fog.”
— Melissa R., TripAdvisor
If you want a guide with next-level instincts — the kind who knows which hill has the best light, which street has the perfect skyline reveal, and which neighborhood is about to fog over before the fog knows — you want Katya. Guests swear she has “GPS in her bones” and a “built-in fog radar,” making every moment on her tours feel intentional, cinematic, and unforgettable.
She’s been in San Francisco since the early ’90s, after years of working every job a boat can hold: bartender, event manager, line cook, and First Officer. If it floated, she could run it. If it broke, she could fix it. She brought that same fix-anything superpower to dry land — including Jeep doors, bungee cords, camera straps, and the occasional stressed-out plant.
Katya also trained as a paramedic and learned to drive an ambulance at Fire Station #10. Guests instantly understand why when they see her behind the wheel:
“She’s the calmest driver we’ve ever seen in a city this chaotic.”
“She navigates SF like she has cheat codes.”
She has visited more than 50 countries, so on tours she trades stories, travel tips, and hysterical observations with ease — and often gives guests insights about their home countries that even they don’t know.
“I love being around people having the best day of their lives. After paramedic training, this job is pure joy.”
• The top of Dolores Park when Hawk Hill disappears into fog
• Quiet corners where the skyline pops out of nowhere
• Local-only angles that make guests say, “How is this not famous?”
• Any vista where she can perfectly time the reveal for maximum impact
A tucked-away viewpoint she unveils with a half-smile and a “Trust me, this way.”
She can’t stop fixing things — dying plants, broken latches, mystery rattles. It’s a compulsion. Guests love it.
“I’ve traveled to 50 countries,” she says — followed by a perfectly timed story that somehow relates to wherever you are from.

“JoJo was hands-down the most fun and knowledgeable guide we’ve ever had — every stop felt like a surprise and every story felt bigger than life.”
— Vanessa B., YelpIf you want a guide who knows San Francisco like a hometown legend and brings an entire lifetime of unbelievable stories along for the ride, you want JoJo. He moved from Seattle to San Francisco in 1979, and for more than four decades he has explored the city with the curiosity of an adventurer and the confidence of someone who’s lived a dozen lives.
Before guiding, JoJo played professional soccer, raced cars, drummed in rock bands, and even owned a nightclub — which explains why guests say their tour with him feels like “an adventure, a concert, and a masterclass in local history all rolled into one.”
He’s a natural storyteller, a thrill seeker with perfect comedic timing, and a driver who makes the city feel effortless. Guests love how he tailors every route, how he times every reveal, and how every story he shares makes them fall a little more in love with San Francisco.
From his tours, he’s learned one universal truth: no matter where guests come from, the weather in their hometown has changed — and somehow that always becomes a conversation worth having.

“Sean made the whole city come alive — we laughed, we learned, we saw everything.” — Rachel A., TripAdvisor
Sean has called San Francisco home since 1977, long enough to understand the city the way most people understand an old friend — its moods, its legends, its shortcuts, and its soul. Guests say riding with him feels “like touring with a local historian, a comedian, and a storyteller rolled into one.”
Before guiding, Sean lived a dozen different lives across Europe:
• A bellman in Switzerland
• A truck unloader in Marseille
• An English teacher in AthensBack in the U.S., he somehow ended up working for a mafia-owned vending machine company in the South Bronx, where he stumbled into early hip-hop culture — an unexpected detour that sparked an underground rap career that guests still get a taste of on tour.
For 36 years, Sean drove a cab through San Francisco, collecting the kinds of stories that inspired his book Don’t Take Me the Long Way and earned him a place in the San Francisco Historical Society. Creative, authentic, energetic, youthful (and, he insists, “house-trained”), he brings a depth of city knowledge you won’t get anywhere else.
Why He Loves Guiding
“I love this city. I’ve seen it from every angle — from hilltops to back alleys to midnight cab rides. Sharing that with guests is pure joy.”
Favorite Photo Spot
The Muir Woods Overlook, where falcons swoop overhead, the Pacific glitters below, and guests whisper “wow” every single time.

Sometimes he even slips into a mini freestyle:“I’m a raconteur
who can rock on tour,
tailoring each experience like haute couture—
crafted like Armani
for the guests ridin’ with me,
keepin’ our spirits in harmony.”Guests eat it up.

“Anthony gave us the most entertaining history lesson of our lives — we laughed nonstop AND saw every major view without the crowds.”
— Sarah M., TripAdvisorIf you want a guide who can outmaneuver traffic, outsmart fog, and out-joke half the comedy clubs in the city, you want Anthony. Born and raised in the Bay Area and now proudly SF-based since 2022, he blends sharp local knowledge with the timing of a seasoned stand-up comic. Guests describe him as “dependable,” “mesmerizing,” “fastidious,” and — humorously — “aerodynamic.” (No one knows what it means. Everyone agrees it fits.)
Before guiding, Anthony worked in investment banking, buried under spreadsheets, Slack messages, and existential dread. He walked away for a life that pays less but gives infinitely more: adventure, connection, and the joy of showing the world that San Francisco is still one of the most beautiful, vibrant cities on the planet.
When he’s not guiding, he performs stand-up comedy and hosts trivia nights — meaning his tours come with perfect timing, crowd work, and just the right amount of chaos. He also drops surprisingly useful knowledge, like: you don’t actually have to bring your kid on vacation. (A guest taught him that one.)
Why I Love Guiding
“I get to show people that San Francisco is far more beautiful, vibrant, and culturally alive than the news will ever admit.”

“Bill made the city come alive — we laughed, we learned, and we saw places we’d never have found without him.”
— Karen T., TripAdvisor
If you want a guide who blends deep local knowledge with quick humor and heart, you want Bill. A lifelong traveler who officially settled in San Francisco six years ago, he guides with the warmth of a favorite uncle and the precision of someone who studies the city like a living map. Guests rave about his storytelling — equal parts insight, humor, and perfectly timed dad jokes.
Before guiding, Bill lived approximately seven different lives: taxi driver, iron foundry worker, forklift operator, fish market worker, professional trainer, university instructor, and even a “chicken hand on the Rio Grande.” These experiences make him endlessly relatable — and endlessly entertaining.
He’s also the guy who knows the hidden-angle photo spots, the obscure architectural stories, and the history that doesn’t appear on Wikipedia. His guests adore him for it.
“I love this city and I love sharing it. Simple as that.”

The murals inside Coit Tower — and the stories behind them — are his signature reveal.
His dad jokes are so powerful they can make both teenagers and adults groan in unison.

“Brian gave us the best photos of our entire trip — he knows the angles, the light, and how to beat the fog.”
— Michelle P., TripAdvisorBrian has spent over 25 years exploring, working in, guiding through, and obsessing over San Francisco. He’s an architecture buff, a lifelong storyteller, an abstract painter, and the rare guide who can describe the skyline even when it’s completely hidden in fog. Guests call him “a storyteller with perfect timing,” “an architecture encyclopedia,” and “a real-life fog whisperer.”
Before guiding, Brian worked as a party planner in the TV industry, booking bands and designing unforgettable moments — which is exactly how he approaches every tour: pacing, surprise reveals, fun facts, big laughs, and just enough mischief.
He once lived on a floating home in Sausalito with his wife, three boys, and their dog — a detail guests never forget.
